FAQ
01. How do we book you?
Simple! Fill out my contact form and list which package you want, and I will get back with you! All of my costs are listed on my website, and that is my set price. Please list your preferred date, location, and a brief explanation of what you want out of your session.
02. Do you travel for destination weddings?
I do travel for weddings. Anything an hour outside of Sainte Genevieve, MO or Springfield, MO will require a travel fee of 0.72 cents per mile. If you are interested in me traveling a longer distance, airfare may be required.
03. Do you do newborn/family sessions?
The only newborn sessions I do are in-home newborn sessions! I do not have the proper equipment to take traditional newborn photos, but I can make an at-home session work. Also, while my main focus is on couples & weddings, I can make a family session work depending on the request.
04. What if the location we chose has a fee?
Location fees aren’t included in your session. If you choose a spot that charges an entrance or permit fee, you’ll be responsible for covering that cost. Every place has its own rules, but I’m always happy to suggest beautiful locations that don’t require extra fees if you’d like!
05. Will you photoshop my images?
Minor edits will be made to each of your photos, such as skin retouches and teeth whitening, but I love to keep things natural and in the moment. I hardly use Photoshop! Sometimes the windy hair and the laugh lines are what make your story so special. I want to capture exactly where you are in your stage of life! I will not edit out anything that will not physically go away in 1-2 weeks.
06. When will we receive our photos?
For weddings, I'll give you a few of my favorites within a few days after your wedding day. Your full gallery will be available 8-10 weeks after your wedding. Different seasons may give you an advantage, and your photos may get to you a little quicker! During the busy season, this is the general estimate I go off of. Any other session is a 3-4 week turnaround time.
07. What is your editing style?
My style tends to lean more natural, creamy, bright, and airy. I like to enhance what is already there! If you like your photos to look more moody, dramatic, and not true to color, then I am probably not the photographer for you!
08. Do you still offer videography?
Unfortunately, I do not anymore. My focus has shifted towards photography.
09. What package would you recommend?
Most couples go with Package 2 or 3!
My one recommendation is if you are planning to have a Catholic wedding, go with package 3! Since the ceremony times start earlier, this will allow for more time at the reception.
10. What Happens if there is bad weather on the day of the shoot?
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location.
